Thank you for your tremendous support in “How The Humanities and Social Sciences Can Help Us Hack The STEM Fields” roundtable discussion held on 03 April. This event, a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Education, marked a significant milestone as part of the MOE’s inaugural Festival of Ideas in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
The event saw an exceptional in-person attendance, complemented by a remarkable virtual turnout. The engagement, thought-provoking discussions, and inspiration that flowed from this roundtable went beyond the conventional boundaries of the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences fields. It was indeed heartening to witness such a dynamic exchange of ideas. This level of engagement truly underscores the interest and enthusiasm within our community for interdisciplinary exploration. We would like to thank the Ministry of Education (MOE) for offering us this platform to showcase SUTD’s distinct role as an interdisciplinary nexus, integrating humanities, arts, social sciences, design, AI, and technology innovation. This event clearly demonstrated our unique standing.
A special thank you goes out to our HASS speakers, whose insightful presentations on the intersection of the humanities and social sciences with human-centric design, technology and computational innovation were truly inspiring. Their contributions offered a vibrant vision of how we can work towards a better world by design. Our sincere thanks go to Assistant Professor Rhema Hokama for her exemplary representation of SUTD HASS on the organizing committee and her tireless coordination with multiple parties to make this event a success.
Our appreciation extends to our Marketing and Communications team for their tireless efforts in promoting the event, ensuring its visibility and success. Their dedication played a crucial role in bringing this event to life.
Thank you to everyone who supported and attended this event. Your participation made it a remarkable success, and we look forward to future opportunities to innovate and inspire together.
