The course is based on the cognizing the Environmental Concepts of Chinese ancient cities and settlement to reveal the Ecological Implications of sitting and building with the context of Ancient Chinese culture, which pursuing the images have always been of the ideas and technical means that the special applications and impacts of Feng Sui.

Compared with the architectural system in other cultures, ancient Chinese architecture featured in its continuity, which was closely associated with its culture. There are two problems today: the first is how ancient relics of historical buildings could co-exist with modern cities and buildings; the second, how the ancient architectural culture and traditions could provide assistance to modern architectural designs, since this is something that has to be done. This course will try to respond to these problems by clarifying the history of architecture and studying specific designs of modern buildings.
